Survey Sampling International Names European Marketing Manager
January 04, 2008 - Survey Sampling International (SSI), a global provider of sampling solutions for survey research, has appointed Volker Andresen to the post of marketing manager Europe. Andresen's primary focus will be on the execution of integrated campaigns in SSI's European markets.
Andresen will lead Europe's strategic and creative marketing efforts to locally position SSI as the leader in high quality panels used for market research. Based in Paris, France, his responsibilities will include SSI brand and product marketing, communications and events management with a direct reporting line to Vice President for Global Marketing Harry Kelley, based at SSI's headquarters in Fairfield, Conn.
Andresen brings 12 years of experience in marketing, and specializes in European management. He joins SSI from the World LP Gas Association where he was marketing and communications manager responsible for raising the profile of the organization and its products.
Previously, he was with IBM, where he held a number of senior positions. In his most recent post, international employee and executive communications manager, he was responsible for communicating IBM's "On Demand” vision to the company's 100,000 European employees.

Andresen earned bachelor’s degrees in international economics and business administration from The American University in Paris. He speaks French, German and English.
